Today’s prompt comes to us through Latin architectura, from architectus, from the Greek arkhitektōn, from arkhi- ‘chief’ + tektōn ‘builder.’ Your focus could thus be turned to the interesting design of a building you like (or not!). I remember the construction of the Louvre Pyramid was so controversial in the 1980s, and now its design is an unmistakable landmark of Paris. What will inspire you today? It’s interesting to know that the Louvre Pyramid was actually a controversial building at the time of its design and construction. Each architect should do what inspires them on their project. Great post and nice blog!

Thank you for checking the blog! And yes, the Louvre Pyramid was so controversial! Opponents to the design thought it was just a megalomaniac project for then president Francois Mitterrand, an egyptology enthusiast, and that the symbolism of the pyramid (death) was ominous and the design really clashing with the Renaissance architecture of the buildings around it. The Pyramid has become so iconic it is difficult to imagine anything else in its place now!
