Well, hello there, and Happy New Year! Sophie, here. Vickie and Debbi have graciously passed me the baton, and I am so excited to be your Photo Challenge moderator for 2017, a challenge that I uncreatively, but aptly, rename 2017PhotoChallenge. (Hopefully, you will find the prompts inspiring!)
We can all agree we have seen 2016 turn into a dumpster fire right in front of our eyes. Time to put it behind us and reset the clock, so to speak, which brings me to today’s prompt, the first of 2017: lyrics from “Feelin’ Good,” a song written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the 1964 musical The Roar Of The Greasepaint—The Smell Of The Crowd. The original broadway rendition is spectacular, but Nina Simone’s version is my favorite, followed by Muse’s.
Anyhow. Without further ado, here we go: “It’s a new dawn/it’s a new day/it’s a new life for me…”. It’s a new year; may you find contentment and joy with who you are and the clarity to move forward on your journey this year.
